Phase 2 Target

Driving India's Growth, One Ton At A Time.

From Sambalpur — in the heart of India's eastern steel belt — we forge the materials the country builds with.

BR Steel & Power Pvt. Ltd. is an integrated steel and power producer incorporated in 2019 and acquired in 2021 by a diversified industrial group of Odisha and Chhattisgarh, with flagship operations spanning steel and power, ceramics, and chemicals.

Our 165-acre facility houses a closed-loop integrated operation that takes iron ore through to finished MS billets, powered by a 20 MW captive plant that recovers waste heat from our own DRI kiln. Operations are rail, road and air connected, and surface water is drawn from Hirakud Dam's Power Channel Pond-II.

The company employs over 1,000 people — most from Sambalpur and adjacent communities — and supplies sponge iron, MS billets and captive power to leading rolling mills, TMT manufacturers, infrastructure EPCs, and industrial buyers across India.

We're not the loudest name in Indian steel. We aim to be one of the most reliable.

Leadership Message

Deepak Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director of BR Steel & Power.

BR Steel & Power represents the next chapter of our group's commitment to India's industrial growth. Across more than three decades, our diversified industrial heritage — spanning steel and power, ceramics, and chemicals — has taught us one thing above all: in heavy industry, patience compounds.

The producers who try to win on speed and price-cutting rarely last. The ones who win build integrated operations, invest in quality systems, and treat their customers as partners over horizons measured in years, not quarters.

That is the company we set out to build when we acquired BR Steel in 2021. Today, with 1.5 lakh TPA of sponge iron, 1.08 lakh TPA of MS billets, 20 MW of captive power, and a 165-acre facility employing over a thousand people, we are still in the early chapters.

We invite long-cycle partners to build with us.

Integration is a discipline we practise every shift, not a milestone we reached once. On our 165-acre site the DRI kiln feeds the melt shop, and waste heat from that kiln feeds the 20 MW captive plant that keeps the whole operation running.

That closed loop is how we hold quality and cost steady while the market moves around us. We would rather be the supplier a rolling mill can plan its year around than the cheapest quote in the inbox.

A plant is only as dependable as the people who run it. More than a thousand colleagues — most from Sambalpur and the villages around us — turn iron ore into steel our customers can build on.

We are investing in their safety and skills for the long cycle, because the plant we are building today has to be here for the next generation.
