Welcome to BR Steel
Sponge iron, MS billets and captive power — produced together in a closed-loop operation built for the long cycles of the industries shaping a stronger India.
01 Our Operations
Established 2019 · Group acquisition 2021
From Sambalpur, in India's eastern steel belt, we shape the nation's infrastructure.
BR Steel & Power is an integrated steel and power producer based in Sambalpur, Odisha — at the heart of India's eastern mineral belt.
The company is promoted by a diversified industrial group from Odisha and Chhattisgarh, with flagship operations across steel & power, ceramics and chemicals. Our 165-acre facility employs over 1,000 people and operates a closed-loop production system from iron ore to finished MS billets.
02 Manufacturing Excellence
How we make it
Our commitment to manufacturing excellence is unwavering. We adopt a zero-compromise approach that ensures every aspect of our production process is meticulously monitored. From the initial heat treatment to the final shipment, every billet is rigorously tested, traced, and accounted for. This comprehensive oversight guarantees that our products not only meet but exceed industry standards and providing our clients.
03 Our Products
What we make
Each output feeds the next. Sponge iron from our DRI kiln supplies our steel melting shop. Heat from our furnaces powers a captive plant that runs the whole operation. Nothing is wasted.
04 Capacity & Expansion
Built to scale
Current capacity places us among the dependable mid-tier integrated producers of the eastern steel belt. Phase 2 is engineered to scale without breaking the closed-loop model.

07 Why Choose Us
The difference
In a category where most producers compete on price alone, we've built our advantage around what comes after the first order — reliability, integration, and the discipline to deliver the same product the same way, every time.
Iron ore to finished billets under one roof — 165 acres, 1,000+ people, tighter QC, shorter cycle times.
Sambalpur sits in India's richest mineral belt — direct access to iron ore and coal, with rail, road and air connectivity.
20 MW of in-house generation — continuous operation, insulated from grid disruptions, majority from waste heat.
